Today, with therapist supporting me in front and in back, I stood up and managed a couple of steps. My right leg feels like mashed potatoes, but I did it. With help, but I did it and I have my pt and ot therapists. to thank for keeping me moving forward. I keep hearing I walked 8 feet, but I can’t remember doing that.
I have developed such respect for those fields I never had before. Honestly, it is breathtaking what they help a person learn again.
I have had to learn to brush and comb my hair, brush my teeth, feed myself without getting food all over the place, typing and writing my blogs, walking, and more I can’t think of.
