I made a friend here I think could be a lifelong friend. She gave me her phone number which I saved to my contacts. She is an impressive worker and I complimented her and told the nurse for that shift. Bless her heart, it made her day!
Also, with help I stood up again and went about 5 feet distance.
With God's Grace, tons of hard work, and sheer stubbornness, somehow I managed to survive my upbringing, AND lived to write and blog about it! Happily sober for 14+ years now, my two favorite topics are: personal growth in recovery and creativity.
